Application

Fiber Glass

Glass mat cloth is a non-woven material based on fiberglass, bonded together using a polymer binder. It is easy to work with, does not burn, and is environmentally safe, as it completely lacks a nutrient medium for microorganisms. It is the most affordable method of continuous reinforcement of the wall surface of all those presented on the market.

The main characteristic of glass mat is density. The most popular in painting works is 40 g/m2. Spider web with such density passes adhesive compositions well while possessing sufficient strength. Also often used density is 25 and 50 g/m2.

Glass mat is most often used on the following bases:

  • Gypsum or cement-sand plaster;
  • Gypsum plasterboard structures
  • Tongue-and-groove slabs (TGS).

The main purpose of using glass mat in painting works is protection against the appearance of microcracks after finishing (painting or application of decorative coating)

Also used:

  • To level the homogeneity of the base structure.
  • To simplify the process of leveling the surface into a plane before applying finishing layers of putty.
  • To increase the degree of protection against cracks at the joints of plasterboard structures.

Filtering materials based on glass mat are intended for filtering air and liquids. Such materials are also widely used as floor filters in paint booths of automobile and furniture manufacturing plants, to protect exhaust ventilation systems (fans, air ducts) from aerosols and prevent their release into the atmosphere.

Membrane filters are widely used in laboratories of various profiles. One of the most popular products is fiberglass filters. They can be used both independently and as pre-filters to reduce the load on the main filter element and increase its service life.

Glass mat filter cloth is a material commonly used for filtering and separating solid particles in industrial processes. It is made of fiberglass and has excellent chemical stability, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. This makes glass mat filter cloth widely used in many industries such as chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, water treatment, metalworking, etc.

Glassmat Plita

Glass mat coated gypsum panels, or Glassmat Plita (GP), are designed as facade panels for use in commercial and residential buildings. They are used as a stand-alone facade panel for painting, as well as under a wide range of exterior claddings, including brick, stone, metal, wood and vinyl. The resulting material has excellent characteristics such as resistance to mold and moisture, durability, sound insulation, impact resistance and fire resistance.

The dimensions of these facade panels correspond to the dimensions and thicknesses of conventional gypsum plasterboard sheets produced in Uzbekistan.

It is the gypsum panels with a glass mat coating that provide the greatest advantages in the construction process of your projects and make the greatest contribution to environmental certification.

A ventilated facade is a multilayer structure that is mounted on the outside of the walls. It includes:

  • a supporting subsystem made of aluminum, stainless steel or galvanized steel;
  • thermal insulation materials in one or two layers;
  • wind and moisture protection membrane, if the insulation itself is not capable of resisting fiber emission under wind loads;
  • facade panel cladding, which performs decorative functions and protects walls and insulation from environmental influences (rain, snow, wind, sunlight).

Between the cladding and the thermal insulation layer in the ventilated facade system, there is an air gap, which allows excess moisture to evaporate quickly and not linger in the structure.

The advantages of ventilated facades are obvious - they are easy to install, do not require preliminary processing and leveling of walls, and the work can be carried out at any time of the year. And during repairs, only damaged sections can be replaced, and not the entire facade.

Single or double frame of external walls are made of galvanized metal profiles. The middle part of the frame is filled with WoolAn thermal insulation boards with a density of 35-50 kg/m³. The outer part of the frame is covered with WoolAn Glassmat Plita facade panels, with subsequent sealing of seams with tape (serpyanka) or glass cloth and plastering of the surface. After that, the surface is painted or another decorative layer is applied. The inner part of the frame is also covered with WoolAn Glassmat Plita sheets, and then covered with plasterboard sheets for the final interior finishing.

Gypsum panels faced with glass fiber (15 mm thick) are used for facing fire escape routes in buildings and elevator shafts. They have the NG classification (non-combustible material), which is especially important for apartment buildings. Its non-combustible gypsum core and glass mat facing not only provide proven fire resistance, but also ensure extremely low flame spread and smoke production.
